Surety and Bond / Insurance Agents

Mississippi Code requires that the Bond Companies or Surety Companies, Bond Agents or Surety Agents, Insurance Providers and Insurance Agents be licensed in the State of Mississippi. You can check these listings by visiting the Licensing Division of the Mississippi Department of Insurance.

  • The bid bond surety and agent has to be on the Mississippi Insurance Department website. Licensing Division
  • The Contract Bond Surety and Agent (or Mississippi Licensed Agent countersigning) has to be on the Mississippi Insurance Department website and the Agent has to be able to sign for that Surety Company.
  • The insurance providers have to be on the Mississippi Insurance Department website. Licensing Division
  • The Agent signing the Insurance Certificate (or the Mississippi Licensed Agent countersigning) has to be on the Mississippi Insurance Department website but not for the Providers (just licensed in Mississippi)
