The Office of Financial Reporting (OFR) is responsible for accurate financial reporting for the State by providing oversight and assistance to state agencies. OFR primary responsibilities include:
- Prepare the State of Mississippi's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
- Assist state agencies in matters concerning governmental generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including preparation of all state agencies’ financial statements (GAAP packets).
- Collect federal grant information for inclusion in the Single Audit.
- Prepare the Annual Report of Budgetary Basis Expenditures, a supplement to the CAFR.
