Nathan Wells

Nathan Wells has worked extensively in Mississippi government and politics since 2003.  In 2012 he was hired by newly elected Speaker of the House Philip Gunn to serve as his chief of staff.

Since that time he has been charged with providing policy guidance and floor organization for the Speaker.  Since 2011, Nathan has been involved in legislative successes such as the Charter School Act, Literacy Based Promotion Act, and numerous other education, budget, tax cut and economic development bills that have defined the body. 

Nathan continues to work with Speaker Philip Gunn while also operating an energy services company called Path Company.  Path Company focuses on achieving savings through energy upgrades for all types of facilities.

Nathan is a graduate of Copiah Lincoln Community College and Mississippi College.  He and his wife, Amanda, are also co-owners of Brent’s Drugs in the Fondren neighborhood of Jackson.  They have three children and live in Jackson, Mississippi.
