The Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration (DFA) is administering the American Rescue Plan Act program to Mississippi non-entitlement units of local government (NEUs). NEUs are defined in section 603(g)(5) of the Social Security Act, as added by section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. NEUs typically serve populations of less than 50,000 and include cities, villages, towns, or other types of local governments.

DFA is in the process of building a portal application for registration and payment requests. While this site is under construction, review the links below to begin gathering the information necessary to request these funds. The application will be available soon.

ARPA Requirements

A DUNs* number is required to request payment. If you already have one, great! If not, go to the DUNs website or call (866) 705-5711. A DUNS number is a unique nine-character number used to identify your organization. The federal government uses the DUNS number to track how federal money is allocated.
