Per Section 31-7-9 of the Mississippi Code, the Office of Purchasing, Travel and Fleet Management is excited
to present the State of Mississippi's first training and certification program for Mississippi state agency
This program has been developed to provide purchasing professionals in the State with the specific knowledge
and education they need to effectively meet the needs of their customers in the most economical manner.
Its goal is the certify all State Agency Purchasing Officials while providing them with the necessary tools to perform
their job in an ethical, efficient, and effective manner.
Please submit the Certified Mississippi Purchasing Agent Application Form to the Office of Purchasing,
Travel and Fleet Management (OPTFM) for approval prior to registering in LSO. After approval, an email
with further registration instructions will be sent.
2019 Training Schedule for Certified Mississippi Purchasing Agent (CMPA) Class

WOOLFOLK ANNEX BUILDING
Parking is available on the Lamar Street side of the Woolfolk Building at the Barefield Complex Building and also on the West Street side.
The West Street side is metered parking and is only available when the Legislature is not in session.
If you sign up for a CMPA Class and are unable to attend, please notify the Office of Purchasing, Travel and Fleet
Management at PurchasingandTravel@dfa.ms.gov at least a week prior to the registered class.
TRAINING MATERIAL - PLEASE READ the Procurement Manual. Reading of the Procurement Manual is REQUIRED
before attending the CMPA class.
Test Information: Certification exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions. Certification will be achieved
with a score of 70% or higher.
