The Office of Financial Reporting (OFR) is responsible for accurate financial reporting for the State by providing oversight and assistance to state agencies. OFR primary responsibilities include:

  • Prepare the State of Mississippi's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (ACFR).
  • Assist state agencies in matters concerning Ggovernmental Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including preparation of all state agencies’ financial statements (GAAP packets).
  • Collect federal grant information for inclusion in the Single Audit.
  • Prepare the Annual Report of Budgetary Basis Expenditures, a supplement to the ACFR.
